Cambrian College
Sherrill McCall is currently the Director, Planning & Research. In this role, Sherrill provides leadership with respect to applied research, institutional research, strategic planning, quality assurance, elearning, and program management. Sherrill will also assume responsibility for Cambrian’s new Xstrata Nickel Sustainable Energy Centre upon its completion in spring 2011. With a long and positive history of commitment to student success, Sherrill has held many positions at Cambrian that have encompassed teaching, disability services, student support, and elearning development.
Sherrill has been actively involved in many College committees and is currently serving as Chair for the Academic Administrators Working Group, Curriculum Review, and Program Renewal Steering Committees. External involvement includes membership on the Executive Committees of Heads of Applied Research, Ontario Colleges Institutional Research Committee, and NIE-CONII, membership on the research committee of MiHR, as well as past membership of the Information and Communication Standards Committee for the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario and OntarioLearn Executive committee. Sherrill has also served on a number of community boards including the local Canadian Cancer Society and Sudbury Theatre Centre.
Sherrill holds an MA in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo and an honours undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies also from the University of Waterloo.
