Greg Williams
Dr. Williams has a B.Eng and M.Eng in Chemical Engineering from McGill University and a PhD from the University of Toronto. Dr. Williams started his career as a materials scientist and he transitioned into water treatment when he moved from Abitibi Price to Trojan Technologies in 1999.
At Trojan Dr. Williams participated in numerous research projects, from small one person projects to large, international projects spanning several years. He gained a great deal of experience in designing and running pilot studies and field trials. While at Trojan Dr. Williams studied, and applied, the principle of project management and he spent some time in the Project Management Office (PMO).
In 2004 he joined the Monteco Research & Development Centre as the Deputy Director of Research & Development. Since joining Monteco Dr. Williams has helped the sister companies, Imbrium and Green Turtle, develop and launch five new technologies. He has also helped manage the corporate IP portfolio. Dr. Williams is a co-author on 2 issued and 1 pending patent. He has presented at StormCon and WEFTEC multiple times and is a member of the ASCE/EWRI BMP Certification Guideline Committee which is working on stormwater BMP guidelines.
In October 2010 the Monteco RDC became Good Harbour Laboratories Ltd. GHL offers hydraulic testing and water treatment related product development services. Dr. Williams is the Business Unit Manager for GHL, with responsibility for turning it into a profitable enterprise. At the same time he is searching for new technologies that Monteco may be able help to commercialize.
