Recently retired from DuPont Canada, his most recent duties included evaluating technology/ market opportunities and acquisitions for commercializing sustainable technologies. Focus was on clean water, clean air, clean fuel and bio-materials.
He maintains his expertise in renewable/ sustainable technologies through an extensive network of contacts and board or committee memberships such as: Lambton College- Research Advisory Panel; Bluewater Sustainability Initiative, Co- chair of Energy committee; Southwest Ontario Bio- Innovation Network- Director; Sarnia Lambton Economic Partnership (SLEP) - member, Shale Gas study; University of Western Ontario, Research Park-Project Judge, Canadian Research Futures panel; Sustainable Chemistry Alliance- Industrial Representitive.
As a founding partner of Evergreen Ventures, a company promoting sustainable development, he raised funding and acted as industrial sponsor for research and design studies at Canadian Universities, in support of customer needs. For example: anaerobic bio- gas digester for off- peak power generation; remote area power systems for the Caribbean; grey-water heat recovery for buildings; run- of- river power turbines; district heating/ cooling facility for down- town areas; zero- energy proposals for a hotel chain in Jamaica.
His background also includes:
- Polymer / petrochemical processing.
- Oil, gas & power engineering and project management;
- Automotive product design/ development (vehicle dynamics);
During his professional career he has worked for some of the world's most prestigious companies such as:
- DuPont- Polymers;
- Suncor- Energy;
- Lurgi- Energy;
- Bayer- Polymers & Petrochemicals;
- British Gas- Energy;
- British Leyland- Automotive (Jaguar, Mini, Triumph, and MG etc).
